Mind over Munchies

Reframing Your Relationship with Food

Hi, I’m Alex Everitt. I’m 40 years old, and I’ve had my own battles with food – battles that, at times, felt impossible to win. From sugar addiction to cycles of under-eating and over-consuming, I spent years chasing the “perfect” lean body.

But behind the disciplined routines and fitness classes, I was struggling. As a personal trainer, I felt I should “know better”, yet I was stuck in a cycle of guilt, restriction, and emotional eating. It took time – and compassion – to realise that my relationship with food wasn’t just about nutrition. It was about mindset, emotion, and self-worth.

That’s why I created Mind Over Munchies – a practical and compassionate guide to help women understand emotional and binge eating, shift their mindset, and build a healthier relationship with food.

Inside, you’ll find:

  • Understanding Emotional & Binge Eating – Why we eat the way we do

  • Mindset Shifts – To help you break old patterns and build self-awareness

  • Tools & Strategies – To manage emotional triggers and cravings

  • 4-Week Reflection Templates – To track your progress and deepen awareness

  • 4-Week Reframing Plan – Small, sustainable steps towards balance

  • Tips from a Personal Trainer – Practical ways to support your body and mind

This isn’t about restriction or perfection – it’s about learning, reflecting, and finding balance. Food is not the enemy; it’s part of how we nurture ourselves.

Take this as your starting point towards awareness, freedom, and peace with food.
