Whether you’re an athlete, a gym enthusiast, an office worker, always on the go, or simply in need of some self-care, our tailored treatments are designed to perfectly suit your body’s needs.
Sports Massage
All massages are done manually by hand, using effleurage, petrissage, and compressions friction techniques.
MET – Muscle Energy Techniques (Stretching)
MET uses a muscle’s own energy in the form of gentle isometric contractions to relax the muscles via reciprocal inhibition and lengthen the muscle.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger pointing aims to relieve pain and muscle tightness and help return physiological function of muscles. A trigger point is a small area of irritability located within a muscle or fascia tissue. Trigger points are painful and tender to touch. Trigger points develop following trauma or when tension develops, and tissues are held in a shortened position over a period of time. Pressure is applied directly to trigger points to help diminish pain and release fresh blood.
Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilisation (ISASTM)
Pressure is applied using instruments that are usually made of stainless steel with smooth edges and contours that can conform to different body anatomical locations and allows for deeper penetration. These scraping instruments effectively break down fascial restrictions and scar tissue, relieving tightness.
Mobilisations and Manipulations
In mobilisation, the therapist slowly moves the joint within its normal range of movement. Manipulation therapy, on the other hand, involves using short, sharp movements to push a joint beyond its normal range of movement. This is also known as an ‘adjustment’.
KT Taping
When tape is applied, it causes compression or decompression of these areas, allowing it to alter pain signals to the brain and support for joints.
Dry Needling
Dry needles are placed in “trigger points” in your muscle or tissue. Dry needling is also sometimes called intramuscular stimulation. The points are areas of knotted or hard muscle. Needles help release the knot and relieve any muscle pain or spasms.
