Get Your First Pull Up
For Women 40+
If you’ve ever looked at someone effortlessly doing a pull-up and thought, “I wish I could do that” this guide is for you!
We’re Tatiana and Alex – two personal trainers, lifelong sport lovers, and now strong, confident women in our 40s who still love chasing new challenges. Pull-ups have been part of our journey for years, but it wasn’t always smooth sailing. We get it – upper body strength doesn’t always come naturally, especially for women, and especially after 40.
But guess what? You are 100% capable of getting your first pull-up – and we’re here to guide you through it.
Why Pull Ups?
Because they’re not just an exercise. They’re a statement!
Being able to pull yourself up builds strength, control over your body, and a huge amount of confidence. It’s empowering, it’s impressive, and honestly? It just feels cool.
Our clients often say they want to learn to do pull-ups because it looks badass, and we totally agree.
But more importantly, it’s a symbol of strength and independence, especially as we age.
What’s Inside This Guide
Over the next 8 weeks, you’ll follow a clear, achievable plan to build the strength, control, and technique needed for your first pull-up.
We’ve broken it down into three sessions per week, with the exact exercises we’ve filmed and coached in person.
You’ll find:
• A week-by-week training plan
• Step-by-step progressions (with bands, machines, and bodyweight)
• Form tips and coaching cues that are easy to understand
• A printable progress tracker
• Bonus links to our upcoming core ebook & a full-body flexibility guide
• Encouragement (and maybe a few laughs) along the way
• At the back, you will find an exercise library with video links to all of the exercises in this plan!
You don’t need to be an athlete or start with a ton of strength. You just need the willingness to show up. We’ll help you do the rest.
Let’s get strong – Together.
